Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the National Security Workforce

Last February, President Joe Biden signed the Memorandum on Revitalizing America’s Foreign Policy and National Security Workforce, Institutions, and Partnerships, establishing an interagency working group who holds the responsibility of “strengthen[ing]diversity and inclusion by sex, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, disability, and economic, regional, and immigrant backgrounds, including at senior level.” In response to a lack of transparency and progress updates from, nine House members, in partnership with Inclusive America, have drafted the response below.
